Paul Ruwette was born in the Netherlands in 1963 and after graduating from the University of Leuven in Belgium in 1989 with a double Master‘s degree in Applied Linguistics, he soon found out that working as an interpreter and translator for the European Union was not his goal in life.
In 1992 he was offered a position at the largest privately held textile company in the U.S.A. at that time: Milliken & Co., based in Spartanburg, South Carolina (around the same time that BMW built its new factory in there to produce the Z3 cars in the USA) At Milliken he found his true ambition: International Marketing and Sales. Working in a company with more than 15,000 employees and with 70 factories all around the world, he was sent to Hong Kong to set up a new sales organisation for the Far East, spent time between the UK and the USA whilst writing an MBA dissertation on Nike‘s international marketing strategies. Back in Belgium in 1994, he expanded the European and Asian business with innovative textile products for the textile rental markets.
For the next 25 years, he travelled the world as Business Development Manager and C.O.O., finding new sales opportunities for various companies, set up Start-Up companies, specialised in international trading and company restructuring and reorganisation. He gathered a vast national and international network of factories, service providers and professional business insiders.
In January 2020 he thought it was time to put this network, these contacts and his know-how into his own company ...
Morpheus International B.V. was born.
